Vertical CNC lathes are mainly used for processing large and heavy workpieces with large radial dimensions but relatively small axial dimensions and complex shapes. Such as cylindrical surfaces, end faces, conical surfaces, cylindrical holes, conical holes, etc. for various types of discs, wheels, and sleeve workpieces.
Currently, more than 30 types of vertical lathes across five categories are manufactured. For sizes below 1250, the spindle adopts a spindle unit structure, and a low-speed, high-torque motor drives the spindle to rotate through a belt. According to the different structural layouts of the machine tool, they can be divided into three categories: wall panel vertical lathe, beam vertical lathe, and single column vertical lathe.
Spindles with specifications above 1250 adopt a gearbox structure, and the motor torque is transmitted to the spindle through belts and series gears. The machine tool features high rigidity and high torque, with a maximum spindle torque exceeding 20000 Nm, ideal for processing medium to large parts.
